When Ollie Hayes told me about his new song ‘Dinner In Joburg’ I was extremely excited to hear it! I’ve reviewed a lot of Ollie's music and have been following his career for a while so I knew the song would be something big!
I was lucky enough to get early access to the song and It’s safe to say it did not disappoint from the second the song kicked in I was instantly hooked!
The song starts up with a great build up to the chorus and really sets the scene and captures your attention, when the chorus kicks in it’s absolutely incredible and gives off such an amazing vibe!
The lyrics are extremely powerful in telling the story of the song and allows you to imagine the setting.
This is a very different song for Ollie and it’s been captured really well showing off how talented he is and his amazing voice!
I really like the layers of vocals used in the chorus I feel it really makes the song stand out and I can imagine this song being used as a sound track for a movie!
‘Dinner In Joburg’ is definitely a song I would love to hear live and I would highly recommend you giving it a listen!
